Another backgammon league guideline.

August 19, 2010

There is now another guideline being added to the backgammon league.
A guideline for what will happen if a player resign after already started playing matches on the on going league week.

And this because of the fact that we have had that so much lately..

Here it goes:

  • If you resign from the league after started playing your matches – for the first time, you will get a second chance to get back to league if you ask me the same day.

  • If you resign after started playing matches for the second time, you will have to wait for 2 weeks to get back to league and have a yellow card handed out to you in the league (first warning).

  • If you resign after started playing matches for THE THIRD time, you will get a red card in the league which means you are on the verge to get banned from the league for 2 months time (second and final warning).

Might sound a little harsh but if you look at the aspects of the way to a eventual ban, the player would not only get a warning handed out but he/she would also have to wait for 2 weeks to get to join backgammon league again if resigning for the second time when started playing.

Like I have written before:

And for everyone.. if you are thinking about to leave the lg.. try to not leave it after started playing, just imagine how it can feel for the ones that had played against you.. (talking in general).. they put time into playing the games and then it just gets reset because the rest didn’t get a chance to meet you!

So I think it now is the best to have this guideline out there for to avoid this kind of situations to happen.
